Are LMT services allowed to re-open in Phase 1, 2 or 3?
Short answer - Massage Therapy Services are in Phase 2,
Long answer - see below
At this moment, no appointments will be available before May 15th, please read more below
As the discussions of reopening begin I will be posting updates here as to how they pertain to me and how/when I will choose to re open my practice.
I belong to and follow a handful of professional LMT associations as well as many LMT discussion groups. They (we) are all in continual conversations about how to go about reopening our practices.
Topics being discussed include the following
* How to reopen with the safety of our clients and us as practitioners in mind.
*What phase (1,2,3) our Governor decides LMT's are in (maintaining flexibility as this may change).
*What our Licensing Board deems necessary and appropriate for us as LMT's.
*When our Malpractice & Liability Insurance providers will reinstate our coverage and under what circumstances.
*New office policies, procedures, intake forms paperwork wise, etc.
*PPE & sanitization, social distancing, and other necessary protocols.
* My own thoughts about how re-opening will affect my self, my family and my personal community.
As you can see, there are many things I need to consider and prepare in order to re-open properly. Doing research, acquiring supplies and creating protocols are now part of my daily tasks (except for when I need a break)
I will continue to do my research and post here as I gain a better idea about how and when to reopen my practice.
Thank you for your patience and understanding and as always , feel free to call or email if you have any questions at all.
Please take careful care of yourselves
I love and appreciate all of you.
Be well. Stay safe. Stay home.

*What our Malpractice & Liability Insurance providers will allow in relation to reinstating our coverage.
*New office policies, procedures, intake forms etc.
*PPE & sanitization, cleanliness, disinfectant supplies necessary.
As you can see, there are many things we LMT's need to consider, after all there is no way to do massage and maintain social distancing. I will continue to do my research and post here when I have a better idea about my re-opening.
Options for our future together
If you are feeling generous of spirit, and fortunate enough to feel financially secure during this Coronavirus pandemic, I invite you to purchase a gift certificate for yourself or someone you know to use toward your next massage with me. Please feel free to schedule now for a future date keeping flexibility in mind.
Please note that appointments can not be scheduled before May 15, 2020
